LET’S TALK ABOUT THIS LEAKED BATMAN SCRIPT, AND LET NOLAN TALK ABOUT BATMAN

Supposed (unlikely) Dark Knight Rises script leaks onto the internet, while Nolan does more award-season chatting.

Renn's been killing it with the news posts lately.

How early did the scripts for BEGINS and TDK leak? And I'd bet they're still fine-tuning the script for RISES.

I hope these aren't real plot points because it does read like a huge mess. The helicopter and EMP parts especially read like bullshit (though, actually, I could see Nolan using the EMP).

agreed. keep it up.

This screams bullshit. I think I'll wait until Nolan says something.

No Catwoman. No Riddler. The bullshitters are evolving. They have learned the art of subtlety.

Edward Nashton is the real name of the Riddler.

Huh, I didn't know that.

It's obviously a fake, since it's already 165 pages, and would be more credible if it was shorter, and thus could possibly be a treatment. Although damn if I wouldn't love to see the Batwing (in this case that gigantic helicopter) or a new version of the batmobile, in this final installment to the Nolanverse Batman.

No, they've only learned to read interviews. I'd bet a lot that, had Nolan not firmly denied the Riddler's inclusion, he'd be in the "leaked" script. A serial-killin' Riddler is apparently every fanboy's wet dream for a film villain.

EMP might makes sense in Nolan-verse. The script looks like somebody read Prey and re-adapted it.

I doubt Nolan can make the third without  bringing a female character.

Regarding Ripoll's comment, Renn and Elizabeth are the reason I came back here everyday.

I'd bet we see a new Batmobile.

It's already bullshit because if they're going to have Batman pilot a vehicle called THE WRAITH, it sure as hell ain't gonna be a flying machine.

And if this IS true, Clint Howard better show up so he can spaz the fuck out upon seeing Batman.

Seems too convoluted for it to be the supposedly final chapter of a trilogy. Much of the screen time would be taken up with setting up all these new characters, rather than concluding the story of Bat Bale. I like Renn's write up, and  must agree with his take here

In other news, I love that TDK poster. My one gripe? The film is called "TDK" and yet that match looks like it's being lit in daylight. A black background would IMHO turn it into a poster better than a few of the one sheets that were part of the original promotional campaign, which is no mean feat considering those are some of my favorite posters of The Aughts

I don't buy that script one bit and i'm already sick of Batman 3 rumours. I think i'm gonna sit this one out untill something concrete comes along.

The Batman helicopter also seems to be a nod to the one he had in Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns, which EVERY fanboy wants made eventually.

Yeah, I agree, Michael that we'll see another Batmobile in the third one. Wouldn't be a Batman movie without it.

Completely forgot about that. An amped-up Blue Thunder! And yeah, I'd love to see a good cinematic adaptation of DARK KNIGHT RETURNS.

He made that up. It's been retconned as  Edward Nashton as of Mar 1989, as per Denny O'Neil in The Question #26.

Well after Maggie Gyllenhaal went 'kaboom' in TDK, there has been a vacant position for 'Bat-Love Interest'. Just saying...
