PAUL BETTANY FIGHTS A LEGION OF VAMPIRES

I really want to give this movie the benefit of the doubt and I truly hope it kicks ass... but, yeah, the reality is it will more likely suck the proverbial donkey balls.

Same here. I'm fine with it taking itself seriously - I just want it to be fun, but I think the chances are slim. I don't mind formula or rehashed apocalyptic vampires, if it's done with energy, awareness and everyone involved gives it the old college try (see: CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK).

Looks like BLADE meets JUDGE DREDD. Could be a bunch of fun. My faith in vamp flicks has been restored lately with entries like LET THE RIGHT ONE IN, DAYBREAKERS, and SUCK. And after revisiting Hammer's Dracula series, I'm on a blood-sucking high right now.

Monsters look better than the crap in I AM LEGEND at least.

They look like 'roided up versions of the demons from CONSTANTINE. I don't mean that as a bad thing.

I can honestly say that my interest in this less than zero. LEGION burned me so badly I am going to need skin grafts. By far one of the least enjoyable films I've seen in years, and perhaps worse, Bettany was actively charmless in it. He deserves an extended stay in actor jail for that one. He darn near turned me against his career with that one
