It's too bad that real, film-based IMAX screens are so few-and-far-between these days. There's not a single commercial one in the entire Cincinnati area, where I live. There's an old Omnimax dome at the Museum Center, but they don't show features. Plus, IMAX films often don't translate well to the Omnimax dome because of distortion. The other "IMAX" screens in the area are the fake, digital screens that aren't much larger than a traditional screen and don't have the resolution of flim-based IMAX. They'll still charge you an extra $6 to see a movie, though. It's a damned shame. Real IMAX is stunning.
