CAPTAIN AMERICA! STAND AND BE GRAINY!

See Chris Evans in full gear as Captain America stands like a dude!

The DISCUSS THIS ON THE BOARD link is just text and not a link, FYI

Anyway, not sure it really looks 'of the period' and it could definitely use more stars and stripes, but over all it's not too offensive. It doesn't really do anything to increase or decrease my interest in this project

I really like it, it looks very "Retro Future", if thats a word.

The wings on the helmet are there so I'm happy.

Oooh, functional!

Though I hope that The Avengers version of the uniform will be less busy & strap-y, for a WWII setting, it's just about perfect. LOVE the painted wings.

Glad the wings are there. Still think the whiff of The Ultimates is worrisome, even though the presence of stuff like the Cosmic Cube argues against it being too much like that series.

You have to give those a few. Those are manual links that can't be filled until the forum thread is actually generated. 99 times out of 100 that will be fixed w/n 3 or 4 minutes.

Consider me happy. I like the way it looks and it just makes me want to see the movie even more now.

Cap's costume looks...Super! I love the look of the, WWII Era Captain America Costume! I cannot wait to see this in theaters. Captain America is my...2nd most anticipated film of 2011 after...THOR!

Looks motorcycle safe! I approve!

Oh, man.

I cannot wait for this film. Everything released so far just feels right.

Just what I was thinking. The big hulking mecha soldiers in the back also look very cool. Are those HYDRA?  I'm definitely getting a very Rocketeer vibe from all the stills and I couldn't be happier about that.

I liked the wings. Evans seems like a good choice for the role.

Sweet suit.  And Evans looks great in it.

Dying to see how it works in action. It looks very functional, which is nice.

Now, more Weaving, please.

I'm the lone voice of "meh" to it. I actually think it looks sort of silly in a still photo; past experience has shown most superhero suits look far better in motion, anyway.

Anyone else getting a Wolfenstein vibe from the dudes in the background?

Very much so. And it's making me more excited than anything else I've seen.

Looks nice, now give us the ruddy trailer.

Amen!  Any word on that BTW?  Super Bowl maybe?

I can't think of a more appropriate time to release a trailer for a movie called Captain AMERICA than at America's favorite event ever.

I like how it isn't skintight lycra, leather or rubber.

Cap prefers a more RELAXED FIT and I respect that.

Looks era-appropriate to me.   Looks like what a secretly funded government super soldier program would have come up with in the 40's.  "Retro Future" is definitely the right term, Savage.  Nice one.

Gonna have to see him in action before I'm convinced he works for the role.  I still think he's an odd choice for it.

THat pic looks fantastic.  Very high expectations after that.  Looking to be the movie of the summer.

I'm gonna get alot of wierd looks for this but... am I the only one who's realised both the Cap and Spidy pictures sporting some EPIC bulge in the nether regions?  Apparently fighting Nazi's is quite exciting.

Do you think this A stands for 'impotence'???

I love it. looks like it would look great in motion as well. more of a jumpsuit.

also, hydra soldiers.

can this come out tomorrow please??

I approve.

Here's a version of sharper quality if you want to update, Renn:

Couldn't be more thrilled with how the costume looks.  Very era-appropriate with a functional feel.

Can't get over how good the costume looks. Thor  may as well be a DVD extra 'cause this is gonna be the summer of Cap.

Dual chest straps for everyone!

Thanks guys. Updated that mafecker till it begged me to stop.

Yeah, that costume looks fantastic. As Green Lantern trying to do something different and not (yet) making it work well....this is something different and I dig it. I want to see Bucky, Skull, and Arnim Zola.....though I doubt that'll be anything funky. But this looks sweet and I am officially pumped for this flick.

...Actually, that would explain a lot.

And thank you for demonstrating why we should hope this is nothing whatsoever like The Ultimates. Have I mentioned that I motherfucking despise the Ultimates?

Cap looks great. But I'm more excited for the tommy gun-armed robot soldier drones behind him.

They look more like three-in-one BAZOOKA MACHINE GUN FLAMETHROWERS, which is even more exciting.

And I wouldn't worry about the Ultimates. I think they borrowed Cap's look from that series because it's the most practical version of the costume. Aside from that, people involved with the production have been mentioning the Kirby and Brubaker runs as being the inspiration for the movie. I doubt we'll be seeing Millar's ULTIMATE DOUCHEBAG Cap.

Calling Millar's version "Ultimate Cap" has always felt wrong to me. "Insane Tea Party Cap" is far more accurate.

This is the best thing I've seen all day:
