 Strange pairing.

 

I hope Black doesn't feel squeamish about altering the story a ton, since the original devolves into a massive clusterfuck about two thirds of the way through.

Sweet!  I love Black and Death Note so let's hope he can turn out a winner.  They need to cast the leads right though, especially Light.  The whole movie should hinge on that performance if it's anything like the anime.

Yeah, seems really odd. But I have faith in Black. Hopefully "Oversee the script" will include a little doctoring. It wouldn't be a Shane Black movie without his dialogue.
