Most of the video stores in my city have closed down, with two or three expections (FUCK Blockbuster!!! CUNTS!!!), and even those have replaced most of their video's with DVD's and Blu-rays. I really miss trolling through the videostores, not knowing what I was looking for, only to have something jump off the shelf because of a well made, or at least interesting, piece of box art. Sometimes the cover would be soo shitty that I had to rent it just because of the balls the company had in putting it out looking like that.

I found a site called CriticalCondition and it has, as far as I know, the largest collection of VHS box cover art available. The proprietor of the site even took the time to break down almost all of the video distribution companies that popped up during the height of the video era. The site is really a goldmine of nostagia and I would encourage anyone with an interest in video box cover art to take a look.

Also, if you're interested, here's a link to the first in a multi-part compilation of Video Company logo's.
