I'm pretty sure at this point that ANY preproduction stills of the X-Men will get ripped to shreds. Black leather? Boo! Blue and yellow? BOOOOOOOOO!!! Make your damn minds up, nerds.

I'm guessing the Fassbender solo image is from AFTER he goes nasty, given that I was under the impression that the helmet is primarily to protect him from Xavier's mind-raperin'.

Me too.  I thought it was primarily anti-Xavier in nature. But perhaps they'll spin that out a bit.  I wouldn't want Emma Frost or the Hellfire Club poking around in my brain and turning it into a Harlequin romance, after all. A helmet would just be smart.

I like everything I've seen of this movie so far. The cast is good, the director is good, the costumes are good, the period is a great idea and fucking Wolverine is nowhere to be seen. 

Elisabeth Rappe, I cannot wait for this.  I hope Fassbender gets the body armor from the comics as well.  To me, Magneto's helmet is...X-Quisite.  2011 should be a...MARVELous year for fans of...Superhero Cinema!

How do you pronounce Fassbender's last name? Does it sound like Face-Bender? 

I have paid exactly Zero attention to this new X-Men movie, because I assumed, it being a reboot with a young cast and given Fox's recent track-record, it would be absolute garbage. But hot damn this looks awesome. I had no idea it was set in the 1960s.

I think the helmet is mainly anti-telepathy. 

Regarding the behind the scenes stuff, I hope Vaughn grow some balls or pays more attention to what is released in the future.

I realized it will be again a plot to-dominate-the-world. Kinda boring having huge threats like the last 3 films. Also, the director promised a lot of action. He seems very cocky and confident with the later.
