While I can't fault Smith for looking after his own this seems a bit excessive.

 

"Hey honey, remember that movie you like? I got you a bluray so you can watch it as much as you like!"

"Hey honey, remember that movie you like? I will remake it. Starring you!"

 

Still other than some small feelings of jealousy, I can't get too worked up over it. My young self though is currently thinking about his dad making him Karate Kid with Jackie Chan as a co-star and is having a fit.

Yeah, that's the little inner child in me screaming too. "I WANNA BE IN JURASSIC PARK!"

 

As an adult, I'm telling myself to grow the hell up. :P
