I came here to post this. Does every single thing this woman says have to be demonstrably wrong? Is it a contractual thing? You'd think that with all the talking she does every now and then one semi coherent and logical thing might escape her lips.

She says nothing except memorized sound bites and right wing rhetoric/button-pushing phrases. She doesn't understand a fucking thing she says, but is able to deliver it in such a way to make the Tea Baggers splooge themselves.

I don't think that the Flat Tax folks at the National Union Foundation have the best interest of the country at heart, Snaieke. I honestly don't believe (my opinion) that the libertarian utopia is in any way achievable without turning the U.S. into a Somalia-like free-for-all for big corporations. On the speech, I thought it was really interesting how it flummoxed the chatter class. I thought most of it was thoughtful, realistic and pragmatic. I'm opposed to Obama's education secretary and his misguided, business-centric "solutions." But other than that, I felt he came out strong for not handing the Social Security Trust Fund to Wall St.,, which has exposed the flaw of "supply side" economics and Randian/Miltonian economics in that the self-interested will screw the country if it means a fatter bonus check.

I want to have Snaieke to explain how he could misunderstand the term "Sputnik moment" so badly.

It's OK to admit you just got it wrong, I rather you do so (I doubt it) than come with a Marvel like No-Prize explanation.

Perhaps Snaieke will use this as an opportunity to reflect on what can only be described as chronic misjudgment.  Snaieke (I'm speaking directly to Snaieke now), this is not an isolated incident.  This is a distinct pattern of behavior, predictable to the point where you could die tomorrow and any one of us could post what we think you'd say without missing a beat.  Do not let your cognitive dissonance override mislead you!  You need help Snaieke.  Challenge yourself Snaieke, challenge yourself to be a better person and a more coherent partisan.  Show the rest of us that it's never too late to grow, to mature, to accrete wisdom and self-awareness, if only incrementally...

Or, just go fuck yourself once and for all.

I think Palin's modus operandi is to just disagree with everything the president does or says, unless the president happens to agree with an extremely right-wing position, in which case it is obvious that she has to agree with him. Mostly, I see Obama's move to pointless "centrist" policies as a political move to disarm the right on some stuff that won't make a big policy difference but will politically cover his ass. The meat and potatoes of his SOTU was a reaffirmation of Democratic principles, which I found a positive thing for what it was endorsing.

What's particularly disturbing is how often these extreme right-wingers engage in the most fundamental historical revisionism in order to make their inconsistent (not to mention dangerous) views more palatable. You've seen a few of the liberal pundits talk about this in the wake of the election and Arizona. And I can't decide what's worse; those that say this crap or those that follow them.

It's pretty astonishing what a giant, flappy pussy Snaieke is when it comes to this stuff. At least Palin has te bals to keep on fightin' the stupid fight in the face of all empirical evidence proving the severely bruised state of her brain.
