MICHAEL FASSBENDER GOES TO THE PROMETHEUS PARTY

Oh hell-to-the-fuck-yeah.

Between the news of this being more of its own beast and now one of the two best new actors working today signing up, my interest in this just increased exponentially.

Man this guy is on a roll and good for him he deserves it.

Shit Fassbender's in this now? Now I'm going to have to see it no matter what; he's been great in everything I've seen him.This project seems so very strange to me, what with the change over from prequel to original story, but I can definitely see Fassbender fitting into this kind of world and story and can't wait to see what he does with it. I'm wondering if this story is still going to take place in the alien universe, just without dealing with the aliens. Since Fassbender's going to be playing an android is he going to be a Weyland-Yutani creation? I can definitely see Fassbender channelling Ian Holm. 

Giler, Hill and Tony Scott are listed as producers. Hunh. Considering Hill and Giler had absolutely nothing to do with Alien: Resurrection, is this just a contractual-obligation thing kicking in, like with Uslan and Melniker on Batman?

Good casting so far, between him and Rapace. Hope the film is as original and daring as possible

Did I miss something? Is Scott no longer putting together an ALIEN prequel? Was there CHUD news story I missed before this one?
