I have seen the future of cinema and it was made in 1982 and it's name is Bloody Birthday. Holy Hell! I watched this movie for the first time last night (thanks, TCM Underground) and laughed more than I have at any film since Female Trouble. So, so funny.

 

S P O I L E R ...

 

 

My favorite moment came during the final rugrat assault when our heroine splashes one of the little bastards in the face with fishbowl water (instead of, y'know, smashing it over his rotten gourd) and then locks him in a hope chest. Brilliant! On a side note, I thought it was pretty interesting that all of the villains survive to maim another day.
