Stan's so awesome. He's still creating characters that might have worked, or at least not stood out as being especially terrible, forty years ago. And he can always find people whose familiarity with comics extends to his name to pay him to do it.

I saw the preview for this during the NHL All-Star Game the other day and thought it looked awesome. Hockey and superhero comics? Yes please!
