I like Searching For Bobby Fisher.  I'm a fan of his quality work.  And since he's co-writer of my second favorite Ryan movie, Clear and Present Danger, this is very good news indeed.

Admitedly, paying Zailian for a script is an indicator of the movie actually happening at any cost but I wouldn't call it a lock. Studios have wasted more money on even more sure things that eventually didn't happen.

I'd say for sure it does prove Paramount wants it happening in a big way. I really would like to know what Clancy's output after 2001 would have looked like without 9/11 happening.

 

Pine is a good actor but seems way too young to do the Ryan thing still better than Ben Affleck though.
