I actually kinda look forward to a new Final Destination movie. You're right about the second one being the best, but there have still been some great kills in the ones after that.

This franchise has had a weird arc. It started with promise but failed to deliver at first. They seemed to have perfected their formula for the glorious second but weirdly enough also seem to have lost it for the follow-ups.

None of the kills in the last one were up to par. It seemed the filmmakers were so enamored by all the 3D stuff flying towards the screen they forgot to add any creativity.
Still, fingers crossed on part 5 (is it still being called 5NAL? 'cos that's just awesome)

I'm a serious easy lay for this series, but I agree the last one was pretty pale. Let's hope they get their death mojo back!

Yeah, I was really surprised at how uninspired the last one was given that Ellis was the director. The second still remains one of my all time favorite guilty pleasures and I watch it on a pretty regular basis. Here's hoping that they realized that the last one was kinda weak and try and go out back on top.

I seem to be the only one who liked the first one the best. Its the only one that treats the concept with any kind of substance and it also felt they were setting up some kind of interesting thats never been exaplored in any interesting way. The rest of the films were just aseries of kills for me.

While I think the second one is the most consistently entertaining, I will say that the first fifteen minutes of the original film is the best sequence in the entire series. It's the only film of the four that is actually creepy and atmospheric to a degree.
