Since, let's be fair, no one gives a shit about James Wan...nobody can argue that the Saw films weren't shitty. But is it possible the Saw films were, in any way, good for the horror genre? I mean, at first it seemed like assholes were watching the Saw films but generally avoiding anythign else in the genre. After eight (?) of those films, is it possible Saw turned some horror fans to other, better offerings?

Guys doin what he does and he's gonna get very rich from it. I'd be more annoyed if I thought he was stinking up good movies or ruining the possibility of good flicks getting made, but he's with a toilet company, pumping out toilet movies for people who like watching shit. I'd love it if people didn't like shit, but they do and people like Wan get rich because of it.

What no love for Dead Silence? I guess I will be the one to sheepishly admit that I liked that flick. Maybe it was because I was the only one in theater watching it, it kind of got to me.

I have to give it up a bit to Wan for making three very different movies. He turned down directing more Saw movies to make a moody, nearly bloodless horror film and a solid vigilante flick. I haven't loved any of his work, but he certainly isn't resting on his early success.
