DEL TORO PINOCCHIO REALLY HAPPENING

I'm confused.  Is GDT co-directing with the other two..................or is he only producing?

Del Toro should be involved in everything ever. Even things that aren't films. Or art. Say, food. Or sports. Or politics. Maybe especially politics. But I'm getting away from the main point, which is that I really, really want to see this film come together; concept art looks great and having Del Toro involved in any capacity means good things for it. I can't say no to a good, dark fairy tale, and if that's the direction that they're going to take this interpretation of Pinocchio I'm all for it.

Excellent. Keep some fingers in the pie, Del Toro, but you get Mountains rolling goddammit. I'll always have the Disney Pinnochio, I do not have At the Mountains of Madness and I think that imbalance needs to be worked out.

I'm disturbed by the fact that Pinocchio looks vaguely like Little Otik.

This is awesome....but this will cause a shit storm when tons of parents take their little tykes and find out this is not Disney's version.

I think if the Disney version came out today a lot of parents would be raising a big stink over it for being too "terrifying."

They'd certainly be raising a stink over all the drinking and cigar smoking that happens on Pleasure Island. Although, I think they'd also make a stink over Dumbo getting shitfaced in DUMBO (which is possibly the best sequence in the film).
