Planned Parenthood Funding Cut By House

Well, I don't post often here. I'm not that up and up on the all political articles and news. Despite all this, ever since I realized the power of a signature or sent a letter (if limited) in support of a cause, I have always supported Planned Parenthood. With a "Pro-Life" Rally on campus, and in light of the cut Federal funding to Planned Parenthood, I'd like to post this by Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA).

To me, this is infinitely tragic and powerful. I've driven friends to Planned Parenthood during some very tough times, I'm currently on birth control acquired through Planned Parenthood and while this is more anecdotal, being from Pensacola, I know about some of awful attacks on people who have done their utmost to protect women's rights, my mother having been to the location in that time for birth control shots.

Thank you Representative Speier. I can't do as much as you have, but I will continue to support Planned Parenthood as best I can.

To cut federal funding to Planned Parenthood is insane. Far too many whack job only think of abortions when it comes to PP.

I guess the party of "personal responsibility" is all in favor of Accidental Parenthood. Or Forced Parenthood. Anything and everything but Planned Parenthood.

Remember ladies, if you get pregnant, it's because you're a slut, and it had nothing to do with a man at all.

Case in point, I clicked on the link and it is blocked by my work....the website is under the category "abortion".

A comedy goldmine on par with Perfect Strangers.

It must really suck feeling so disconnected from so much of your country.

Didn't want to start another thread topic on this as this really all comes down to: Republicans hate women, but love having a perpetually poor underclass that can garden their lawns. See below:

Women Get Death Penalty if Miscarry

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/41889946#41889946

It's not that this bill will get passed, it's the audacity of the senator(s) that drafted it. They just keep putting forth these bullshit fucking laws not so they'll be approved (dear god, I hope they aren't) but so they can get the message out, give another crazy headline and continue to let the crazies elect them. Seriously, Georgia, what the fuck? I'm trying to make some sort of clever pun or analogy but all that's coming out of my fingers is hate, hate, hate.

I'm searching to see if MSNBC is blowing it out of proportion and it doesn't appear to be so. Fuck. This. Shit. Logic and reason, and Mother Nature apparently (I hope they criminalize Haitian refugees who had the fucking nerve to live where an earthquake happened next), have abandoned us.

This almost seems like a tactic that filmmakers use to get stuff they want past the MPAA.  Get the really extreme shit out there so that while they get cut, stuff just as deplorable (yet don't sound AS absurd) can get past.

"That's ridiculous!  It'll never get passed!"

"But at least it's no Miscarriage Death Penalty!"

"True!"

Richard Mellon Scraife wrote a column in the Pittsburgh Tribune review disagreeing with cutting of Planned Parenthood. He has gotten nothing but angry letters. This is what you created. I hope he is happy.

Head down here my friend, Melbourne would love you. We've got a thriving stand-up scene too.

I think these people are actually demons from Hell who can only be nourished on the souls of women who died from getting back alley coat hanger procedures, or maybe on the misery of broken families produced by a lack of proper sexual education. They're scum.

I really miss Denmark.
