RIDLEY SCOTT GRUDGINGLY REVEALS MORE PROMETHEUS CAST MEMBERS

The movie being flooded with character actors really does sound like it's going down the first Alien film route. That way we won't know who's going to make it to the end. Will Idris Elba be the new Parker?

I think that is exactly Ridley's intent.  I think that is also why he (and to a lesser degree Fox) were making all those recent comments about how we shouldn't expect a typical Alien film out of this.....................at least in terms of what the franchise has become.  I think that's why they backed off on calling it a prequel.  They don't want people expecting swarms of xenos being blasted to bits by soldiers and mercs.  This won't be an action movie, but instead a return to the cerebral sci-fi horror of Scott's original.

That cast. That fucking cast. If Scott manages to mess this one up too, it's over.

I'm still wondering if Mark Strong is going to show up.  He already stated during recent press interviews that he was going to beg Ridley for a role in it!

I'm also wondering if this is still intended as the first in a potential trilogy of Alien prequels.  If they put this much effort into another two, I'm all for it.  More than anything though, I hope this production goes off without a hitch.

That's a pretty terrific group of six actors to be trapped on a spaceship with. As awesome as Elba is* I think I'm most excited for Dickie, she was simply phenomenal in RED ROAD

*the answer to which is course fucking awesome

Damn, don't know what sort of script this is but hope they're not all cannon-fodder.
