Donald Glover offers his most recent rappings.

I know it's been a while, but watching that video, I couldn't stop imagining Glover moving like that in a Spider-man costume.

The amount of talent and charisma the guy has is intimidating.

Agreed - I'm almost selfishly not looking forward to when he breaks out and becomes the superstar he's destined to be, because of what it'll mean to COMMUNITY

Things I'VE learned today: Glover wrote and sang on Werewolf Bar Mitzvah!

Glover's pretty damn awesome, but "best comedy in forever"? COMMUNITY isn't even the best comedy on NBC on Thursday nights. </trolling> #RonSwanson4Life

Still, that video is sah-weet.

"You may have thought you heard me say I wanted a lot of bacon and eggs, but what I said was: 'Give me all the bacon and eggs you have.'"

My love of Ron Swanson has no limits, but pound for pound Community is the better show.

I wish he included four more nerdy references, so I could write this whole thing off as a nerdcore vanity project. But a he's legit and it's FRUSTRATING, because what isn't he great at? Damon, tell me he's a shitty dancer or can't hold his liquor or SOMETHING. Maybe a sibilant "S"? He's too perfect.

Uh... he's... uh... relatively short!!!

He had moves. He was getting drunk, but I didn't see him lose it. Sorry.

"In the back of a bush like Gavin Rossdale's drummer" I love how simultaneously vulgar and hilarious Gambino is.  He actually drops a lot of amazing references in his songs, I recommend checking all of them out.  Pretty sure they're all free to download on his site, too.

It's too intimidating to wade into that group hug of a thread that is the Community Discussion, but yeah, people. I watch, love, and laugh at Community, and it's a great time. But with that sheer volume of non-sequiters and throwaway jokes, most of them really only make me laugh about, say, 80-85% of the time. Community earns it's praise, I think, because they go high, middle and low brow, almost simultaneously, but most of that low brow stuff can be pretty fucking lame. And most of it comes from Pierce's mouth.

The standards for TV comedy are pretty low, but I think Community would be one of the better ones even if that weren't true. That being said, for every two or three great things they do with characterizations and long-form gags, there's one joke that just fizzles helplessly, and it's that sometimes-irritating deadweight that makes it the one NBC Thursday comedy I'm most willing to skip (not counting the two new ones).

Also, Community is TOTALLY holding Donald Glover back.

I respectfully disagree, sir.

So what exactly is the joke success percentage on The Office these days that's pushing it ahead of Community?  ...

Well, I didn't clarify that I thought Community was a superior show to The Office. I'm just more personally invested to the characters and reality of that show at this point than I am in what Community's established. But then again, a supporting player like Gabe or David Wallace seems more interesting than a walking gag like Magnitude.

Magnitude is hardly a supporting player. He's a running joke. Sure, not a very good one. Gabe and David Wallace actually have roles/are characters on The Office. And Community is hardly holding Glover back.

I like Parks and Rec, and I like it more than the Office right now, but it's a variant on it, so I ding it a number of points at the end of the day - something Community made fun of about a week ago.

Considering it established him as a strong comedic actor (because it was his first professional role...), I don't see how anybody could think that.

I wish I could get pussy so insane it's an enemy of Batman.  Best I ever got was mildly agitated as opposed to insane.  And it passed on that mild agitation.  So . . . you know . . . not great.
