I was very excited to see the American Reunion movie. I saw American Pie just after college and remembered it was quite funny. Jim, Michelle, Oz, Heather, Stifler reunite for their high school...

Hmmm. Not sure how I feel about this. I realize Loki is the Avengers' original villain, but I always thought it would be a little lopsided for the Avengers to take on one of their specific archnemeses in the movie. I guess if you've got other baddies, it's more or less OK, but I still feel like that makes it into Thor and Friends. (Unless Whedon's somehow managed to cram in the Red Skull, Justin Hammer, the Abomination, and other supervillains to create an Evil League of Evil, but that's seeming WAAAAAY too crowded.)

Seems like they're banking on everyone being impressed with Loki in THOR. From what I've seen so far, I don't know what to make of him. But I'm guessing he'll mainly be the SCHEMER in the Avengers and won't be featured as prominently as whatever he sends after the team.

Yeah, I was expecting The Avengers to acknowledge the threats in previous films, simply because Hulk and Iron Man introduced characters that would seem relevant to a global conflict like this - we couldn't possibly have seen the last of Justin "I will arm just about anyone I please" Hammer, or Samuel "The Leader" Sterns, right? Hammer should easily weasel his way back into the onscreen Marvel Universe, and Sterns could easily now be under the employ of Thunderbolt Ross in more futile attempts to correct that Super Soldier Serum. And after making such a big point of the Abomination surviving, are we just to assume the military found a way to lock him away forever?

I like this. The Avengers have to go big. World ending, cosmic size threats. I hope they go as big possible. Have Loki bring in the Skrulls, Thanos or fucking Annihilus. I just hope they don't bork it Galactus style.

I like the idea of a big budget, epic sweeping film with two teams of super peoples beating the ever loving tar out of each other in downtown NYC.
