I hate when a studio misses a chance for a dumb Title/Number integration.

Some cool looking sequences aside, I didn't like that trailer.  But then, I didn't care for the first's movie's trailer (or How to Train Your Dragon) either, and I loved both films.  So maybe that's a good sign.

I can't believe you missed the Simpsons reference there, Renn. Kentucky Fried Panda: "it's finger-LingLing good."

 

I'm told Charlie Kaufman worked on the script to this. Charlie. Fucking. Kaufman.

 

The signs and stairs jokes made me chuckle, but yeah, all the other gags fell flat. Still, the visuals are incredible, and unlike a lot of animated sequels, there's plenty of interesting places it could go. This presumably isn't going to be another Shrek.
