I guess it's judgment day. We'll be bug squashing for some time now and the social network side of it's a week away, but...

The ATLAS SHRUGGED review made me break out in hives. But I like the site!

Digging it. Nick, thanks for the Great Baseball Moment; such a small one, but great nonetheless. Looking forward to more of those from ya in the future.

Unfortunately, work still has it blocked from back when I guess it was an adult site.  But, I was able to tool around a little this morning before work.  Great site, great content, no issues yet.  I think all the hard work and heartburn paid off, Nick.  You have a fantastic new site on your hands.  I'm excited and proud to be writing for it!

Congrats to you and Andrea. Looks good so far.

I can't believe I have an article on the front page. @_@

Must make a note to write more about pretty women..

GUY.com has a very amusing article guiding modern gentlemen through the art of crowdsurfing on its front page.

If you haven't already done so, I suggest checking the place out.

Not content related, but I like the way you scroll to the left and right rather than up and down like a typical site. I've never seen that before, or at least don't remember seeing anything like it. Feels much more contained or manageable that way. Pretty cool.

I registered.

Basically, from just glancing around a bit, I get that this site is what MAXIM tries and fails to be.

Kudos.

A huge congratulations. The work you put in is plain to see. It looks fantastic.

I enjoyed it too, (thanks brother man!)

So, so awesome. Congrats, Nick!

Man I'm so glad I checked in today, haven't had a lot of time for foruming lately.

The side-scrolling is oddly appealing too. Didn't expect it to be.

Weird ass front page layout. I like it. When the hurricane presently blowing through my life dies down I'll be sure to give this a deeper look.

I tried to register, using my screen name here, but it wouldn't let me. Is that a bug? I also tried registering under just "Rene" and that didn't fly either.

Either way, liking the new site, Nick.

Registered under just my given name. It worked this time around. Now I just have to figure out how to put my avatar on here. If I'm posting over there, it's with the face of Fichtner!

Good start. Liked the Golf and CHICAGO CODE articles.

Layout works for me.

Yay. Looks great. Lots of interesting stuff. I am also both excited and nervous to have my first published piece of work going up there (tomorrow if I am reading this Wordpress thing right).

Big up!

The site looks good, already has great articles, pointed me to a book on forensic crime photography and gave us a new wine to try out tonight. What's not to love?

Congrats on all your hard work, guys.

Well, now I've read all the articles and it was well worth it. Two thumbs up! I'll probably waste more time at that site than I should. I really enjoyed your articles in the Assortium, Nick, had some laugh-out-moments reading those.

"We’re going to be fine. Unless the aliens do come, and then we’re jacked. Totally smashed as a species and planet. We cannot compete. Those bulbous heads aren’t filled with candy. It’s BRAINS, man. They’ll out-think us and then they’ll out-MURDER us." Awesome.

The latter was mine, so gracias. I'm enthused about the plans Nick and Andrea have for the site and am looking forward to being a part of it.

(And I'm a fan of the design, too. It's certainly different, but in some ways practical. In fact, I actually prefer it to the CHUD redesign.)

I really like how it's divided up into lounge, library etc. Fun vibe to it.

Bookmarked already...fantastic articles all around, and the layout and design are just perfect and easy to get used to in seconds.

Sure as hell it will become a daily ritual for me (gotta get registered there tonite).

Also, rather impressed by the "Atlas Shrugged" review, which was very well written and quick to put all the political BS over the book aside and focus on the work and author.

Also, comic book boobs!

Ideally this will be site you guys can show your friends that don't "get" movies or the CHUD vibe. Guy really needs to be BIG. I think it'll be a good balance of smart and dumb.

I really think it has the potential to breakout. Especially if the right linkage and coverage by other sites happens. Best of luck to you guys, although you've obviously done plenty of very hard work so far.

That'd be mine. Andrea floated the idea past me, so if you like the piece, thank her; if you don't like it, blame me.

Love the article on a Miracle Fruit party: http://guy.com/2011/03/10/throw-your-own-mf-party/

Yeah, what the fuck with that review?

Site needs less of that, more of the "Guide to Puberty." I cackled for five whole minutes reading that. Yeah, I cackle.

Also, BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOBS.

It was my pleasure, mate! The article's fantastic (as is its companion piece on headbanging.)

I've only had a quick browse or two around the place, but so far I've seen a lot of the former and none of the latter. Congrats on the successful launch!

I loved it...it was a great read, and your choices for the featured characters were inspired.

Thanks. I wanted a mix of obviously fanboy-pleasing big-titted characters (like Red Monika) and characters with a bit more credibility who just happen to be top-loaded (like Luba). Narrowing it down to five seemed like a fool's game, since we could be here all day calling out stacked comic-book women, but I tried to base inclusion on what each character represented in the depiction of big boobs. You have your Power Girl, who is aware of her own figure and has been ridiculed for it by other characters (like the Flash -- wotta douche), and you have your Luba, who I'm pretty sure started out that way because Beto Hernandez is a fiend for bosomy ladies, but who developed into one of the more complex characters in all of comics.

Totally agree with this. It's the first thing I read on the site and it had me bristling. Definitely not my sort of place but congratulations on getting it launched Nick.

Hahahha, as probably the only person on CHUD who actually enjoys Rand's two books, I found that Atlas Shrugged review to be pretty level-headed in its praise and criticism.

Fun site!  One thing that's really sticking out to me in a good way is the color scheme for each section.  It's just so... pleasant and optimistic without being garish or obnoxious!  Looking forward to the content continuing to grow.

FYI--Web of Trust, which is a Firefox extension I've used since forever to get away from scummy sites gives Guy.com a bad rating.  I think this may be a holdover from its previous owners.  I registered and gave my own, 100% positive rating.  Other people should do the same.  Otherwise, people with WoT and Firefox get a big warning to stay away.

Nick--I'm not sure if there's anything on your end you can do to appeal this, but it may be worth following up on.

It looks like the side-scroll format will be a dream to navigate on phones and pads and such. Great call.

Love the layout and the content I've sampled. Haven't had much time to fiddle around, but I did join the boards.

Haven't dug into the site properly yet, but I luuuuurv the side-scrolling format.

I'm with you Ohio Jones. The crisp layout and side-scrolling lift me up where I belong.

I no longer get a WoT alert.  Hooray!
