ELLEN PAGE IS SUPER

I love Slither to death(a movie which is REALLY difficult to push on people, oddly enough), but I'm really worried about the box office prospects on this one. I think it comes off as too similar to Kick-Ass to your average joe. This isn't a situation where I'm trying to paint BO mattering more than anything. I just like Gunn's work(thus far), and want him to continue to get his projects made(similar to Wright with SP, or PTA with ANYTHING).

I was on the fence until Page showed up in the cape. Bad thoughts, mmm. Still worried that Joe Audience is done with 'homegrown superhero' movies.

She doesn't wear a cape.  Just saying.

I've seen this, and it's significantly darker and grittier than KICK ASS (which I also enjoyed).  Page is actually playing a completely interesting and different role than she usually does.  You think she's Juno in her first scene, and then she pulls the rug out from under you.  Definitely worth seeing.

Is it wrong that I find myself thinking that I can live with the possibility of Paul being a letdown if this one pays off?

Love Slither (and Kick-Ass, for that matter), and I hadn't realized Captain Tightpants was in this, too.
