Absolutely breathtaking.

Utterly vindicates 3D (without the texture and shape of the rock you wouldn't be doing the thing justice), and those cave paintings are among the most amazing works of art I've ever seen.

There was a Q&A with Hertzog via satellite feed afterwards (I managed to make a preview screening), in which he explained his philosophy of documentary film making, whereby instead of being the fly on the wall "you have to be the stinging hornets".

God I hope I see it.  I hope I see it!

So I saw it.  Hehehe

Other than the person in the back of the theater snoring, I was the only other person at the showing.  Herzog's voice is too damned soothing.  I dozed off a bit as well.  I'm pretty impatient in general and am not always the biggest fan of documentaries, so this film left me pretty cold, visuals aside.  3D was definitely impressive, but it certainly wasn't enough to engage me for the whole time.
