God, so psyched to be able to play through both these again. I only played through 4 once when it was released and it quickly became one of my all time favourite games. Being able to play it on my 360 with a HD update is going to be amazing, also be interesting to revisit Code Veronica which I remember really enjoying but I don't think I've played it for nearly a decade.

FUCK. TO. THE. FUCKING. YES.

Capcom, I love you.

I remember three or four years back when a Xbox 360 high-def RE4 rumor got batted around on IGN -- the notion of getting "honorary" Achievements for the several times I've already run through the campaign is the icing. Can't wait to finally be able play RE4 on my 360 without always having to be digging for my GameCube copy.

I'd buy this at $40.

Unfortunately It's looking like this may be a direct port of the PC version, which is in turn an up-rezzed port of the PS2 version, which is in turn a visually crippled port of the original Gamecube version.  So calling it an "HD update" is being really, really charitable about it.  But if Gamecube/Wii upscaling is making you claw your eyeballs out on your HDTV, or if you haven't played it at all yet (for Heaven's sake!), then it's nice to have as an option.

I've played through this game more any other I think(it may be neck and neck with Half-Life 2), so on one hand I'm excited. On the other, after playing through it again on the Wii I don't know if I can go back to the thumbstick for aiming on my 360.

That kind of sucks. But still, it's a fantastic game. FAR better than 5, in my humble opinion.

Yea, I have the RE4 Wii version to play, if I ever feel like going through it for the seventy second time, but I'm kind of surprised Code: Veronica is getting the update. Even when that game first came out the series' original formula was worn thin and outdated.
