MICHAEL SHANNON GOES FROM CHUD PICK TO ACTUAL SUPERMAN POSSIBILITY

Maybe Bizarro.  Maybe Non!

It's weird to see Shannon's name in conjunction with a superhero film, but it seems like that kind of time for him. He's an odd-looking guy, which limits his options, but if a role as a supervillain or whatever he'd be playing, grants him further exposure, I'm all for it. He's phenomenal.

Weird. I just got done watching "Bug" for the fourth time.

I support a Shannon villain.

Shave his head and he could make a good Lex Luthor.

Go against type? I'd do it like Gordon in the Batman movies. Shannon as a young-ish editor on his way up. His character? Perry White.

Shannon was my first choice for NuSpidey's Lizard, so I'd be  up for seeing him get a crack at a similar high-profile role.

 I'm not a comic guy... Are there any other good Superman villians besides Zod and Lex? If Snyder and Nolan want to stand apart from the Reeve's movies, why not go with a new villian? If they have to do Luthor, please let it not be another stupid real estate scheme.

There are a lot of Superman villains. But most of them suck. Shannon'd make a good Bizarro or Brainiac, though.

I won't be surprised if Lex Luthor makes an appearance, but I think they will steer clear of using him as a villain this go-round.  If he shows up, it'll probably be just to lay the groundwork for a sequel.  Also, I suspect they will cast someone at least somewhat recognizable in the role.  I'd go for Shannon as Luthor.  Or Non.  Or any character.  He'd make a good Metallo!  I just hope they don't overstuff this puppy with villains...........................even if they are played by the likes of Viggo Mortensen, Michael Shannon, and/or Edgar Ramirez.

Personally, I'm wondering if the sources stated that he actually is up for a villainous role.....................or if everyone is just assuming that it is for a villain.  After all, we are probably going to be seeing Perry White and Jor-El pop up...............not to mention any other sizable male role that these actors could be up for.

It's up now.  And I threw a bit of snark WB's way. I don't know what it is about Superman news that they think is IDEAL for the weekend. 

They announced Superman himself on a mid Saturday or Sunday, can't remember which.  It was ridiculous. It seems to go against any rule of publicity that I know.
