Juice by Alex, juice by Alex oh, Alex got juice.

I just spent an hour hanging out on the official wesite. You have to register to find out more info. Part of me loves the idea of just fasting on juice for 30 days. What a refreshing break from dealing with regular food. Don't think it will  happen since it looks to be a involving proces. Still it would be the way to go if I had money and someone to deliver the juice to me three times a day.

Does the doc go into the cravings? Changing your diet that radically is like quitting smoking, insane cravings for the first month or so. I pretty much switched to a (almost)completely fat-free diet(LOTS of rice) months ago, and there were times during that first month where I would have capped a motherfucker for a big greasy cheeseburger.

But hey, I'm 40 lbs lighter and no more cravings.

I'll check it out sometime, but juice isn't my thing really. Also, I seem to recall a stat a few years ago which actually said Australia had surpassed the states as far as fatties. Very surprising. When I went there for a month I didn't see many obese people, but the ones that were were HUGE, so maybe it's an averaging-out thing, or just some bullshit anecdotal evidence I pulled out of my ass.

All us fatties are at home unable to get off our sofas - we don't venture out into the light...

I never did like all this trick stuff much. All juice, all raw, all meat. The only thing that ever worked for me was simply eating less and finding a way to fit some exercise in my schedule. Of course it takes a bit longer, I'm 20+ pounds and one pants size down since last summer, but all these months I've never felt like I was pushing myself. On the contrary. And I could go on forever like this.

I think it got disproven - the two studies they* were comparing were using different definitions of overweight, or overweight vs obese. Or something.

*Sorry, I realise this is hopelessly vague. I had a poke around on the internet and found this, but it's hardly conclusive.
