Desert Jack, Melvin and most of the Tremors 3 cast show up in the TV Series as well.

How much of the TV show am I going to need to watch to form a reasonable opinion? Does it have any kind of resolution or story arc?

They are mostly standalone episodes. Tremors 3 is almost like a pilot for the TV Series. There's one Ass Blaster episode. A few Shriekers in others.

 

Christopher Lloyd shows up for a few episodes in one story arc. Apparently there's a secret Goverment Lab near Perfection thats been creating "Mix Master" Creatures besides Graboids.

Hmm. I assumed part 3 was awful but now I may have to check it out.
