TWO THIRDS OF THE THREE STOOGES CAST

Jesus, that's a comedown after the early casting targets.

The Farrelly brothers cachet really seems to have run out if these are the only people they can get to sign.

I'm calling David Schwimmer or Jason Alexander for Moe.

Too high-profile. Kevin Dunn all the way.

Ugh. The casting rumors for this were so awesomely loopy. This casting would be a step down from much lesser team ups than the Carrey/Del Toro/Penn wonder that was speculated for a while. 

They couldn't even get Giamatti! Unbelievable.

I hope they do "Sappy Pappies" as one of the shorts.

They should do the Marx brothers next.

John Stamos as Groucho, Kirk Cameron as Harpo and Freddie Prinze Junior as Chico.

Good grief. If most of the original shorts are public domain now, why not stick them in front of a whole new feature, like in the Goode Olde Dayes(tm)? Oh, right, cause the originals would completely upstage whatever the Farrellys have left in their tank. These guys are long past harvesting the fumes and are scraping the damp rust off the sides.

I suggest that for proper research and project development, once they hire a Moe the three leads should take to the road honing their act on vaudeville stages for a couple dozen years or so.

Good god, that's one depressing cast. And that's on a normal day. But given the rumored Carrey/Penn/Del Toro trio of inspired awesomeness they touted... ugh. No thanks.

Sasso should probably get repeatedly kicked in the head until he has a stroke, too. Just for realism.
