I'm not sure I understand this article. As I understand it, Smith is independently releasing and distributing this movie. The money's got to come from somewhere, right?

Am I missing something?

That is kind of weird. I mean, if that wide-release is guaranteed to make the money back, why would smith have to get money together? Maybe there are some 'hired goons' he needs to pay up, pre-release.

 

Either way, I bet this isn't the last weird moment to come from this whole 'Kevin Smith-Red State' train.

The GUY.com review became suspect when Terry reacted so favourably to the notion of Tracy Morgan playing Muhammad Ali.
