I think you should watch this bit in the theater. But I'll take your click, and thank you for the traffic!

I'm confused... what's the spoiler?  He wrestles with some dude in the mud for 20 seconds?  I don't think that .5 second clip of some dudeholding  bow is considered a spoiler since you can't even see the guys face.

Well, this is a world where someone yelled at me for "spoiling" that the South African rugby team won in Invictus.  I like to give big, red warnings. People like to go in really, really cold and as I'm one of them, I try to just be very dramatic about spoiler warnings.

Are you serious....

why would you tell me that, I didn't know they won!!!

That was... lame.

The clip, I mean. Not NickP's joke.

That is one clunky fight scene. I'm beginning to warm to Hemsworth though.

Okay, first you're going to have a skilled marksman weirdly hanging out in a movie with a bunch of mega-superpowered beings. Now you're telling me he just hangs in canopies and aims without firing? If Hawkeye is in the Marvel movies, you'd think we'd be getting hailstorms of arrows, and not a guy who can shoot one at a time. I'm talking Legolas-type marksmanship with Dirty Harry harshness.

I'm with you Tim, the fight scene looks like something out of MacGuyver but between this and the most recent Trailer Hemsworth has turned me round.

And man his Aussie/American accent sounds like Heath Ledger. Better that than Sam Worthington though.

I understand your concern, but you're making that assumption from 58 seconds of footage.  That would be like watching 58 seconds of The Dark Knight and complaining that The Joker will spend the whole movie sticking his head out of a cop car window.  It's very well possible that he fires his arrows at some point.  Or maybe he's been instructed not to fire on Thor.  We don't know.

The problem isn't that he doesn't fire, it's that a skilled marksman wouldn't position himself in a hanging, swinging crane box. Dude looks like a dope.

He's THAT good, though.

Maybe he wanted a challange?

Damnit, Andrew beat me to the punch.

Also I think it's more likley that he was told not to fire rather than he is just being lazy.

That was so bizarrely edited into that lame, lame fight scene.  Good to see Branagh is embracing the dutch angles though!

Guys, I don't think there's supposed to be any logic to the cameo.

It looks like it was just a random place to stick a guy with a bow, so all the nerds can say "OMFG its hawkeye".

Seems an odd piece of footage to release, since all but the *cameo* was already seen in various trailers, and the cameo was barely that - nothing more than a clothes dummy from an outdoor store displaying their new compound bow.

One thing I noted, Thor's elbow smacks against the floored guard were a little weak. I was hoping the punches from The God Of Thunder would crack like an Indy punch. guess he's depowered or something... right?

Wait - people don't think this is it for Hawkeye in THOR, do they? It's obviously not.

No, but it'd be pretty funny if it was.

memories of Battlefield Earth shot through my head while watching that clip.... dutch over angles ahoy!

oh hell, if you want someone that can spoil Thor, I can sure as hell do that..but that's just mean...really mean :-P  And yes, that it was one chunky fight scene.

He's fighting Hawkeye there? Need to rewatch as I didn't see a bow and actually thought it was a black guy. It's Nick Fury! ;)

EDIT: Nevermind. The dude hanging in the box. Missed it the first time.

Wow, that was some flabby camera work. The only urgency present in that fight was in the score.

But, yeah, I couldn't be more sold on Hemsworth's cocky-charming Thor.

For those of you who want to be spoiled: Hawkeye's scene is only slightly longer. When Thor

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

breaks in and begins to stomp a few soldiers, Coulson sends Hawkeye who then basically just waits hanging over the hammer place. Thor arrives and... something happens, which I won't spoil right now. But Hawkeye doesn't even shoot and unless they didn't change things on set, there's no fight scene.

Yeah, I signed up for that a few days ago, not sure when. They told me they would get back to me in eight days. I think that means... today? Time to check the inbox.
