I've been seeing this flick being mentioned in all manner of 'TRAIN LIKE TOM HARDY' articles for months. I'm actually a little surprised it wasn't already shipped off to DTV land.

Footage looked pretty good, especially with the awesome manliness of the leads. Kinda hated the inspirational music in the trailer though.

Not me Paul, I lap that kind of cheese up like a champ.

And as much as I like Joel Edgerton, he may get a belt at the end of this film, but I don't see him winning his scenes with Tom Hardy. That dude stole scenes from DeCaprio and JGL without even trying.

Hmmm. Even though I'm very, very intelligent, I don't get this one.

I think Elizabeth was talking about fools using footage from this movie for fan made trailers to Dark Knight Rises.

Oh shit, they do that? That is funny. Thanks man.

Nice joke then Elisabeth.

Yep! Here's one that's actually pretty fun. I think aside from a shot of Bronson, and some weird stuff on an operating table, it doesn't really play up Bane.

However, it does make me wish that Nolan went with a Robin Williams Dr. Hugo Strange than all of this League of Shadows stuff.

I don't mind admitting the two stars alone have me very excited for this.

The inspirational music is arse tho tis true.

Shitty way to sell this but I remain interested. Try better promotional trailer department!

I sent a fellow MMA-fan a link to this and told him Hardy from BRONSON (the only flick he knows him from) was in it. He couldn't pick him out. "Is he one of the 2 fighters?" HA.

Where does the Joel Edgerton love come from anyway? It seems he's the next Fassbender.

It probably comes from the fact that he looks just like a young Kurt Russell.

This is the only thing I've seen him in, and while the movie is great, he wasn't one of my top reasons why. My opinion, anyway,

Some of us have been watching and enjoying his work for years.

...and just what the hell is wrong with Fassbender???

I don't think he meant "he's the next Fassbendeer" as an insult. Quite the opposite, actually.

Fassbender and Edgerton are both similar in that they're both actors being cast in everything despite the fact that no one in the general public has seen them in ANYTHING. This usually happens to young female starlets who pop up in every movie for awhile, but I guess studios are really desperate for new leading men.

There's a real drought of decent American leading men these days frankly - I think that's why the Brits and the Aussies are representing like they are - we still produce actors with talent and some machismo.

Talent it all comes down to talent and craft. No doubt the aussies and brits have it in spades.

You need look no further than the Captain America casting search that went on to see how big a hole America has in its young leading men.

It isn't even close.

Yeah, and Batman, Supes and Spidey are limeys, Wolverine and Thor are Aussies and Green Lantern's a Canuck. What's going on?

This means little to me in the grand scheme of things if the product is quality.

Still its kind of sad to my nationalistic side.

I don't think American actors need to worry about a lack of work as long as studios keep casting them in film adaptations of characters originally created in cartoons and anime as Asians.

Ayoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Actually I'm impressed by Fassbender. While I still haven't seen Hunger and Fish Tank, I think he's very talented. I even bet he'll own XFC and become a major leading man in the upcoming years, eventually getting an Academy Award or two.

So far I'm just curious about Edgerton. Saw Animal Kingdom but didn't see him shining in it, and with The Thing and The Warrior just looking okay.... I'd just love to see where the praise comes from.

Chris, try and track down a little aussie flick Edgerton did in 2002 called The Hard Word with Guy Pearce and Rachael Griffiths - pretty decent flick elevated by its lead performances. That was the moment I became a big fan of his.

Thanks pal, I will. As an australian, what do you think of Sam Worthington? Do you think he deserves his current stroll of high fare? I gotta say he made me look in Rogue, and I still need to see Somersault. I highly doubt though that The Debt will be remarkable.

I think Edgerton deserves his career right now to be frank. He was likable enough when he was acting here in Oz, but the guys become a blank slate since moving to big budget Hollywood land.
