Picking up Liam Neeson's sloppy seconds.

sounds like exactly the sort of film he should do.  Consider me interested,

A Gumpert? Aren't they afraid its ugliness will keep burning the film?

Other than that I'm interested.

I don't know. I think a grim, serious Arnold action flick could work like bonkers, but then I'd much more prefer to see him in something fun. No one delivers cheesy oneliners like him, and who cares that he's old and out of shape.

Is there a reason this isn't generating more excitement? A big-screen icon who seemed like he would move out of retirement to work with assholes like Len Wiseman or Shawn Levy instead hitches himself to the most exciting action director currently - I dunno, this seems to rocket The Last Stand to the top of the must-see list, and I'm not even a big Arnie devotee.

This is already a very cool possibility.  But after that Governator cartoon nonsense, this is an amazing possibility.

The director's work leaves me cold, but this is a director/actor pairing that sounds interesting.

Maybe a film with a more optimistic outlook will allow me to warm up to Kim's work.

The fact that Arnold is old, didn't keep himself up like Stallone, and that his last several films before moving into politics were underwhelming at best, is probably why there isn't a whole lot of excitement in the air. I don't think Arnold became a worse actor with age, but he certainly stopped working with people who knew how to use him properly.

Arnold has been getting back into shape like crazy ever since he left office.  I imagine it is kind of hard to run California AND keep up are hardcore workout routine, so you can't really fault him for not staying in peak shape while he was governor.  Arnold prides himself on his body too much to re-enter action cinema in a flabby state, so I don't think anyone has anything to worry about in that regard.

Personally, I think this is a kickass project for him to get back in the game with.
