HALF OF HOLLYWOOD FINDS WORK IN OLIVER STONE’S SAVAGES

This is really shaping up impressively. I wouldn't worry about the cast being overstuffed, because most of them seem pretty well suited for the roles. Thurman wouldn't have been my first choice for the mother, but it's definitely not a throwaway part.

The book is brilliant. You should read it.

I haven't seen the script, but it's a funny part in the book that Uma could do well. 

Whatever helps put the kibosh on a terrible DEEP BLUE GOODBYE adaptation I'm 100% behind. Get another rewrite, Leo! And stop casting yourself! ...Sorry, wrong thread. Don Winslow's another author I keep hearing so many great things about that he's about to skip the line in my way-too-long book queue. An ensemble like that only helps. Well, with Travolta you never know. Here's hoping his ~decadal re-resurrection finally hits again.

I wish I had the legal authority to force people to read Savages. First thing I read by Winslow, and it didn't take much after that to make me a fan.

This is the first Oliver Stone film that I have been legitimately excited for in almost a decade.  Here's hoping it turns out better than his last three projects.
