I keep forgetting about CABIN.

Dammit. Apparently so does MGM.

 

I'll have a better feel for Joss' toolbox after seeing THOR and CAP, but I (as a Whedon fan) am glad for this successful start.

I wonder if THOR's good advance word had a factor in this. I think Marvel's feeling pretty confident right now. I was convinced THOR would bomb, but I think the critical good will will help sell it. It has the lead in the summer crop, and I think good WOM will help it become a hit.

Yeah, I was talking to a bud of mine and told him "Hey, I hear THOR's pretty good... It's well-reviewed so far..." he glared at me and said "Get the hell outta here!!!" Anecdotal for sure, but I think WOM is going to have to sell where marketing hasn't.
