Trump's new claim: Obama did not fairly get into the Ivy League, demands records - Page 2

Obama just ripped Trump a new one tonight (watching correspondent's dinner).

Best Awkward Face since Colbert took down Bush.

My favorite part of the speech was when Obama talked about Trump's presidential acumen in firing Gary Busey for failing the Omaha Steaks task on Celebrity Apprentice:

"That's the kind of decision that would keep me up at night"

I couldn't think of a better way for Trump to be handled than that.

"Donald Trump says he's got the support of the blacks, unless the blacks are a family of whites, I think he's mistaken"

Holy crap that was hilarious.   Trump's reaction to jabs vs. Obama's says it all.   How soon until Trump goes after the "Liberal Media" and plays the victim?   ETA:   I now just realized why Trump was outright PISSED at Seth Myer's speech instead of doing the tight grin during Obama's beat down.   It's because Seth pretty much called Trump a racist to his face.

To be honest, the president and Seth gave kind of mediocre speeches but the fact that Donald Trump was there in attendence elevated things to classic status.

Best line of the night: "Donald Trump has said he's running for president as a Republican -- which is surprising because I thought he was running as a joke."

Another great bit: "Mr. President, look at your hair. If your hair gets any whiter, the Tea Party is going to endorse it. Oh, I'm gonna get an angry voice mail from Ginny Thomas in 19 years."

Holy crap that Meyers take down was EPIC. The people sitting next to Trump looked scared.

It doesn't quite rival the Stephen Colbert speech from 2006 (my god, what could?) But it's still ballsy stuff here. Loved the shots at the Heritage Foundation and Miss USA as GOP veep picks for example.

Now the timing of the release of the BC makes sense.   Release the BC on Tuesday, goad Donald Trump into patting himself on the back, allow that hubris to grow, and then cut him to pieces publicly and with humor in front of everyone that matters in Washington.   Sometimes I forget how good Obama is good at taking out a person with one move.   Beautiful planning and flawless exectution.   The Chess Player is back.

ETA: Trump Responds!

"I had no idea it would be to that extent, where you know, it was just joke after joke after joke," Trump said on Sunday morning. "It was almost like, is there anyone else they could talk about?"

Of course he goes on about how much of a martyr he is now.   You guys know the script....

In a way this kind of makes him look worse than last night doesn't it?   I almost want to see the first WH Correspondant's Dinner with him as president just to see what happens.

Oh, poor little billionaire got his feelings hurt? Obama should have ended his jokes by saying "Oh, by the way. Donald? I just did your wife in the coat room."

The fact that while this was happenning, Obama knew the raid on Osama's hideout was about to go down makes everything twice as funny.

Yeah, I don't know how Obama kept it together in hindsight.   That guy has a poker face like no other.   It's like, "Okay, let me wrap up this silly business with Trump and then let's get to work on the GOP who said I was soft on terrorism next".    The funniest thing about his announcement?   He says he's going on at 10:30 Eastern and then goes on a full hour later.   Do you think he really meant to go on at 10:30 Eastern or did he just want to cut into Trump's show and had an 11:30 start time in mind all along?   I would usually say that's petty but that wouldn't bother me AT ALL if that's what he did.

Good luck calling the guy who got OBL an "other" or "not American" Trump.

The next day, he told Fox and Friends (according to Politico), "I didn't know that I'd be virtually the sole focus," and labeled Meyers a "stutter." He also criticized the non-serious nature of Obama's speech, declaring, "I was certainly in a certain way having a good time listening. I don't think the American people are having a good time with $5 gas. ... I was thinking to myself as they were doing this, you know, the American people are really suffering."

He also said that he has "no hard feelings" because he knew he would be walking into a lion's pit.

So Trump's 1 week off from politics is now over and we still haven't heard from the guy.   Do you guys think the White House Correspondents Dinner had anything to do with it?   Could he really be that much of a baby?

Support for Trump in polling has essentially imploded.  He was never really going to run, and the fake campaign consisted entirely of slanders that have since been demolished.  I'm sure there's an Obama/Trump Mortal Kombat Fatality .GIF out there somewhere on the web, and if not, there should be.

Is this even a question?
