Arnold wants to Terminate again, whether you like it or not.

Done with this series. By the time if/when another gets made the tech will be good enough for Arnold just to voice a CGI Arnold. Then again, the guy doesn't sound the same. Might as well hire a soundalike.

Sorry for the misspelling on the comments, as someone who's name is CONSTANTLY misspelled, my bad. Tried to correct it but it glitched(SKYNET?!).

No worries dude.

Yeah, I didn't want to come out of the gate writing snarky negative pieces, but I just don't see how you spin this one positively. There just is no gas left in this franchise, and if there was, I doubt Just Lin would be the guy to find it. The only person I could see successfully resurrecting it is Cameron himself, and I don't think he cares anymore.

Definitely. Even if he did kinda care, I think it would be embarrassing for Cameron to return now unless it was something incredibly outside-the-box. Cause the series has gone so far off from his ideas and where he left things (left things very neatly) that I almost would want him to step back on the field now. The series doesn't deserve him anymore.

Hey, Ridley came back.

Ridley kinda needed to come back more than Cameron does.

True, but the pessimist in me suspects that's more to do with how much money Scott's films have lost over the past decade. That Gladiator goodwill is all out of steam.

Beaten by Sebastian OB.

Also, I'll always have a place in my heart for Arnold, and like the man says, "it ain't over till it's over". Arnold...it's over. He worked with right directors who knew how to use him properly, and it worked like gangbusters for well over a decade, but the days are gone for those guys as well, and the only one of them left standing (Cameron), is onto a whole other thing that Arnold doesn't really fit into.

I honestly do believe a Milius directed KING CONAN work in an UNFORGIVEN kind of way. (I'd make the same argument for an OLD MAD MAX movie starring Mel.) There are some characters that could serve good drama by being depicted in their twilight years. The Terminator is not one of them.

I want a Milius/Arnold KING CONAN in the stupidest most fanboyish way. It is sad. But I can't help it.

My issue was more with "The series doesn't deserve him anymore." Alien franchise sank far lower than the Terminator franchise, but Ridley seems to have found a fresh take instead of deciding he was too good for the material. Cameron was blundering up his own franchise by 1991. And pound for pound, still a better director than Cameron.

Old Mad Max is my pipe dream, but King Conan is close behind it.

Well, it'll certainly be a step up.  I don't hate Salvation, but it's a blank canvas of a film.  Absolutely nothing happens in it.  Everyone is the same at the end as they were at the beginning.
