Nikos the Impaler

I have never seen this film and really don't know anything about it at all. But I was called and told that the filmmaker would allow us to use it as our main event for 'Saints & Sinners 4' if we were interested. We have a history of having films that are not involved in the competition but have drawing power as our main events of the night.

SS1 had 'The Toxic Avenger 4: Citizen Toxie'
SS2 had 'Shogun Assassin'
SS3 had 'The Web of Darkness' Rough Cut

What about 'Nikos'? I would like to get the opinion of the Corner Dwellars to see if I should look into his opportunity.

I'll give you a very informed opinion right now, if you don't mind: the film is the biggest waste of film I've ever experienced. Usually when I'm sent something to review, I will no matter how bad it is generally just warn people about it, but this movie is so fuckin' bad I don't even want it's name mentioned around here.

Seriously, I've seen a lot of bad filmmaking/storytelling/acting, but nothing comes anywhere close to the pure ineptitude Schnaas displays in 'Nikos'. Avoid it like the plauge, lest you be infected.

Too bad it sucks so bad, because the premise is really cool. For the same type of story read the amazingly bloody and horror-like new comic THOR: VIKINGS. I kid you not, this is viking zombie mayhem of the first order. I was completely taken abck by how cool this 5 part mini series was.

It's horrible. A friend of mine is in it, and the only redeeming quality of the whole movie is that he gets killed (he's the security guard who gets his face chopped off).

You know something's wrong when you realize that the director's earlier work in "Violent Shit" made more sense....

I fucking loved it! The FX guy on the film brought it to my film class, and I enjoyed it all the way through. I'd buy the DVD, but it's very high priced, and I am one who has very little money. But will eventually pick up the disc.

There was a book written about 20 yrs ago called "Bezerker" about a Viking statue that comes to life in New York and , well goes bezerk.I can't remember who wrote it, but if I was the author I would sue there asses off
