I'm pulling for Twilight 3 to take the night!

A year that something like THE EXPENDABLES comes out, and all the nominees in BEST BADASS look like they've never had to shave a day in their life?

POPPYCOCK.

I have NO IDEA how they choose these bizarro nominees.

No kidding.  Tom Felton for Best Villain?  The guy was barely in the last Harry Potter movie.  If it was some hot young star, I guess I could understand MTV's motives... but does anyone even care about Tom Felton?

In terms of screentime, the film's biggest villain was the woods.

Dude, there are a lot of fangirls on the Internet that go wild for Tom Felton/Draco Malfoy.

My friend also brought up the fact that he may have a movie his people want to promote with an appearance on the awards.  I kinda always assume the guy is in nothing but the Harry Potter films, but he's got several projects lined up according to IMDB.

Also, it was through looking at Felton's IMDB profile that learned that IMDB puts an actor's twitter feed on the profile page.  Felton's latest tweet?  "mmmmm ice cream"

A million fangirls cream in ecstasy.

Tom Felton seems like a genuinely nice guy, and in his reaction to the nomination he even said himself that Draco's not much of a villain in Part 1.  People, and by extension MTV, continually associate him with the bully persona from the earlier books and movies, so it's not necessarily his fault that their categories are poorly conceived and not internally consistent with regards to the actual content of the films.

Of course Draco's daddy would defend him!  Heheh

I'd like to believe that he's a genuinely nice guy.  It would fit in with the worldview that actors who play villains tend to be the nice ones.  No dig on Felton, obviously.  Just ragging on the way the MTV Movie Awards operate.

These awards are pretty harmless. Pretty sure they gave a Lifetime Achievement Award to Jason Vorhees as well.

This is far from the same network- or even awards show at this point.

I was just assuming. I haven't watched the channel in years.

(Looks over list of nominees.  Sees that "Twilight: Whatever the Hell One They Are On Now" has something in *every* category and may win Best Movie for the third damn year in a row.  Becomes an alcoholic.)
