Andrew Niccol is writing the screenplay for this too.  Say what you want about the man, but he's written and directed some thematically interesting films.  Along with Ronan, now it seems all but certain that this film is getting genuine talent that it doesn't deserve.  Frankly, having read the book myself, The Host is better than Twilight - comparatively speaking, so faint praise indeed - but it's still distinctly the same writing style.
