LATEST DJANGO UNCHAINED DETAILS, AND CASTING RUMORS

Tarantino preps, we salivate, and Renn hears some things...

I'm kinda shocked the script isn't all over the 'net at this point.

This is good news but with I.B. I tried not to know much about it and almost everything was a surprise. Probably do the same for this. I'm not against early info but certain directors are mandatory viewings anyway and mystery is good.

Me too, and glad. I kind of hate early script leaks. I'd totally love to read it after the fact though.

Once the film was cast, I went into complete information blackout with IB and was better for it by the time it finally rolled around. I feel the same idea may be in order here. It's Quentin. I know I'll love it. Why spoil myself anymore than that before my first watch?

The script is all over the place- not hard to get. I won't be reading it.

If that is the case, can you please point out where i may find a copy? Or at least send me in the right direction?

I've never seen a Django movie, so I'm going to have to remedy that.  This sounds fantastic.  QT has always seemed to flirt with westerns, so to hear about him trying one for himself, even if he calls it a southern, is very exciting.  Here's to hoping that this thing comes together as smoothly as Basterds seemingly did once the script was done!

I must not be looking in the right places because I have been looking EVERYWHERE I can think of and I've come up empty handed every single time.

Anyway, I am completely and utterly stoked for this.  After spending a few months in LA interning and reading shitty scripts for 8 hours a day, I've really come to appreciate Tarantino and how fun to read his work is.  And I've started to fall in love with the spaghetti western genre over the past year, so I am really looking forward to this.

Never mind the fact that I was working on a screenplay that is eerily similar to Django Unchained and now I don't feel like finishing it...

I have a couple of friends who are frantically scouring the web looking for it and have so far been unsuccessful.  It's not nearly as easy to find as some would think.

I'm sure Renn meant that in terms of being plugged into the industry. I don't think it's just floating around willy-nilly online, you surely have to know someone. I know a few people, but I'll be damned if I'm tracking that thing down. The temptation to read it would be too great.

My thoughts more or less exactly. Well said! Casting rumours and whatnot are one thing, but I don't really understand the need to inhale a leaked script within hours of it being made available, surely negating a massive part of the exciting buildup in the process. That's to say nothing of the ethics involved (or lack of.)
