Got led to the site back when Nick was doing dvd reviews for IGN.  Been a consistent reader ever since.  Finally decided to join the boards.  There you go.

Yeah, but it still got me here.  So it helped me out anyway.  I think "the nation's punched" is what really hooked me.  That and the fact that this site continues to at the very least match my somewhat bizarre sense of humor.  Especially enjoying the podcasts and video.

I used to write reviews on Epinions.  I know exactly how that feels (albeit on a smaller scale).

It was golden.  Disregard Nick's modesty.  That place has missed him since.  They barely review home video now, or at least don't promote it as heavily as they used to.

I read Nick's reviews on IGN back in the day.  It wasn't until somewhat more recently that I realized that The Nation's Punched was his brainchild.  I'd been reading his stuff well before I ever came to CHUD.  And then his review of Ocean's 12 lured me to the site.  Being one of the few positive reviews of that movie, it was easy to find and then linger and linger before I finally started posting.

I have this vague memory of seeing an IGN review linked from Dark Horizons that also mentioned CHUD. wow. long time.

I found a Nunz IGN DVD review of The Omen, dated September 2000. Before they did the awful remake.
