Been readin CHUD for a looooooooooong time, but not really the forum type. But here to help :)

Also just came back from watching Thor (been out here in Australia for a week or so)...

And it's kinda average.

Still haven't quite figured out how to navigate the boards as easily as I'd like, but I post every day and have done so for more than a decade.

I can't remember when I started reading the site, but it has been a looooong time (8? 9 years?) and I come daily.  I lurk the boards constantly, but post rarely.  Love chud and I hope it is here for a long time.

I've been lurking for roughly a decade and only recently become more active, but I'm still here. CHUD has hit a few speedbumps, and all of them have come in a short amount of time, but I'd hate for it to disappear.

The majority of us got our vast film knowledge from reading and posting here.  Keep that in mind sir (or ma'am!) and welcome to the boards.

If not for CHUD, I would have never heard of, much less watched repeatedly, The Manitou. So that's a gold star right there.

Still here and checking the site/forums each workday at lunch.  Thanks to CHUD, I've learned a Hell of a lot about movies, music, food (good and bad) and my fellow human beings than I'd have thought possible from a website.  Also, due to CHUD, I'm able to write columns for GUY.com.  I will always be proud to call myself a Chewer.

I'm allllll man. Also wanted to say I've been a lurker for 5-6 years, learned most of what I know about movies from CHUD. The possibility of this site going away is unthinkable.
 

Long-time reader (ten years?) and been posting since 2008. Made a lot of friends, seen a lot of trends, but there's no way I'm giving up before I hit a 1000 post count.

Think it's probably just me mate. Haha.

I want to start by saying that it's been sad to see so many long-time contributors leaving lately,  which is only compounded by the acrimony involved with some of the departures.  Also, the front page is a mess, old reviews are impossible to find, and it's taken me 4 tries to post this.  And I'm using Firefox.  So there's obviously some issues that need work.

However, it's no exaggeration to say that this site, in addition to providing me countless hours of entertainment and teaching me pretty much everything I know about movies, has also made me into a more thoughtful, better-rounded person.  Joining this community basically succeeded in doing all the things for me that going to college was supposed to.  It's long been my intention to ride this bitch til the wheels fall off.

I still check the site from time to time.  I went a few months with almost no internet whatsoever, so I wasn't around at all.  CHUD is still on my rotation, even if I'm not a presence on the board.

I want to hold CHUD til I die

I keep meaning to venture over to other sites where past contributors I've enjoyed have moved onto, but find myself doing so only every once in a while and rarely for long. CHUD, however, I still have to check daily and more. There's something going right around here, has been and will be. With the job the way it's been I just can't post as often as I'd like, but the reading's a necessity.

Quick MB tip I discovered by accident: Unless you're quoting someone, slap that CLEAR button on bottom left before you type. I don't know what background mess it's erasing, but  (on Firefox) all cursor weirdness disappears for me.

I'm not here as much because A)I'm busier than before, B)I now do most of my internetting via iphone, and the boards are frustratingly slow on said phone, C)Twitter has kind of taken over my recreational web use to a large extent, and D)the recent negativity and drama here.  I don't have time or energy in my life to engage that kind of shit.    

I like Chud.  I like Badass.  I like AICN.  I like Slashfilm.  I like Film School Rejects.  I like FilmFreakCentral.  And on and on.  There's room for everyone, folks.  But Chud is where it started for me, and it'll always have a spot in my "Daily Links" bookmark folder as long as it exists.  

My nurse says it's okay to post here, as long as I don't get too excited.

There better be some fuckers hanging around after the Justified finale tonight, or there'll be hell to pay.

The finale is tonight?  Jesus, that season went fast.

I'll see if the clear button works first.  As for the reviews, I was looking for an old one last night, and can't find the old title listings.  If they're still around, it's well-hidden.   Clicking the "Reviews" tab brings up the most recent ones, with no other organization option visible.

I'm here, Nick.  I'm a long time lurker on the site.  I've been checking CHUD for around 6-7 years now.  I think CHUD has been getting more interesting with the Video Podcasts and the Video Friday Wrap-Ups.  More podcasts please.  I'm not going anywhere.  I've been checking out GUY.com as well.  I really dig your Animal of the Day columns.

Count me in as another who rarely posts but has been reading/lurking long enough that it makes me feel old when I think about it.  Not going anywhere.

Mag's Apple Pie Recipe:

All you need is ...

1: Johnny Walker Red Label
2: Apple Cider
3: Pinch of Cinnamon Powder.

Get a wide mouth short glass, fill it 2/4, if not 3/4ths of the way with Red Label. The other 1/2 to 1/4 you fill with apple Cider. Then mix neatly.

Now Sprinkle what would look like a finger pinch of Powdered Cinnamon on top, then mix THOROUGHLY again.

I am a relative newcomer to CHUD. I have been frequenting the site for about two years and I love it. I obviously don't agree with everything but that would be boring as hell. I am here and not going anywhere. 

And at least I haven't been openly mocked on Twitter by the founder of CHUD, unlike another site which will go unnamed.
