Hello - Page 4

Good day folks. Prepping another Friday video piece, and anyone who thinks I don't care about this site or try my best to give the readers love obviously hasn't been watching.

GOOD! I missed the video piece last week.  Also - and nobody cares about this but me, but I remembered a couple of weeks ago that my Blu-ray player has Youtube support, so it's kinda badass to be able to watch the CHUD Channel on my television.

Get a wide mouth short glass, fill it 2/4, if not 3/4ths of the way with Red Label. The other 1/2 to 1/4 you fill with apple Cider. Then mix neatly.

Now Sprinkle what would look like a finger pinch of Powdered Cinnamon on top, then mix THOROUGHLY again.

Sit back and Enjoy

I found out that Johnny Walker Red is actually barbecue sauce mixed with gasoline.

You say that like it's a bad thing.

A series of 20 minute animated episodes where the podcast team tackles "mysteries" such as whether Justin is really related to actress Justine Waddell and what Steve is really up to watching a Beatles tribute band, anyone? The "titanic trio" (?) could travel the world, getting into various missions where the local Chewers must help them.

I feel that this goes without saying, but there needs to be a CHUDmobile and possibly CHUDjet/blimp.

Also, thanks for reminding me that I also missed last week's video, JG.

MUST. TRY. THIS.

Been catching up on my classic Westerns lately and looking for steady work. Make mine CHUD!

Hey DM - apropos of nothing, but did you ever finish your Cthulhu sculpture?

Seeing free midnight showing of Thor tonight, excited! Will report in the post-release thread tomorrow.

Two years and it'll be a decade, I ain't going nowhere.

Now help me to decide, who's cuter? Amanda Seyfried or Kat Dennings?

Let's hear it for Nick

This site is full of awesome

I am here daily

Still here! Lurked for years before becoming a Chewer. And despite the mostly good natured and patient folks here, still feel very like a newbie and the ignoramus when it comes to discussing film. I've learned a ton from reading and posting, but struggle with having something meaningful to contribute to the conversation.

Love it here, despite not being a huge fan of the new look. Great folks here, and Nick's made a very special place. Renn and Elisabeth, especially, are kicking all kinds of ass with their writing, though I like everyone.

And Jake! I wondered where you'd been. I'm deeply envious of anyone who's beheld Diva's Glorious Gluteus in person. Be sure to genuflect and make proper offerings.

I've been coming here for 8 years (Jesus!) and I'm forever grateful for the insightful content and discussion CHUD has provided. The bickering and writer defections have sucked, and I have other complaints, but why bring them here? CHUD and its overall community are wonderful.

DEN-NINGS! DEN-NINGS! DEN-NINGS!

Don't get me wrong. Amanda's very cute, but Kat's just a bit special.

Hiya.

As excited for Attack the Block as the rest. Pretty nifty that Abbie Cornish's husband directed it. You'd think he would have found a place for her in it. At least a cameo. She might've been too busy filming Sucker Punch, I guess.

Brilliant.

I'd vote this way:

Kat has the cuter face and the better rack.

Seyfried is more sensual and classically beautiful.

Lengthy hands-on inspection is necessary for comfirmation, though.

Kat's definitely a clear winner, but lest we all forget Seyfried's bookish look in Jennifer's Body - the only truly great thing about it.

That got back-burnered by various other projects, my daughter's continuous homework and activities, and employment transitions. Good memory though, JGB.

They're gonna have to go nipple to nipple for me to judge.

Every time this thread pops back up for me, Lionel Richie gets stuck in my head.  Damn it.

I am here.  Hello, everyone.  I'll be here.  I like the site and the new writers, especially Renn.  I've tried to be vocal about this recently.  I hope for all the best for CHUD!  Thanks, Nick.

Hello.

I've read for a long time. Then I read and commented for a long time. Then I stopped commenting because the commenting widget didn't work anymore, and then it was deleted because commenting was cheapening the site. Then the forums didn't accept new members for a year.

Things seem friendlier now, though.

@Dirk I'd green rep you. If I could green rep you.

Amanda collects stuffed baby horses, witnessed Pierce Brosnan sing Abba songs and made out with Julianne Moore. How can Kat Dennings ever beat that? Having been fingered by Michael Cera isn't much.

I gotta say Renn is the Mike Trout of this organization. <------------baseball.

It's all in the knockers, Chris.

Wiki page said the words "young" and "prospect" a lot, so I'm hoping that's a good thing.

HELLO.

My lil' slice of traffic has admittedly fallen off recently.  But I'm still here, and will be indefinitely.

Just about still here.

Been reading since '01?  '02?  Never really posted much, but for the umpteenth time I'm gonna try to fix that.  Place has given me too much to not give back.

Nothing but!

Where's my goddamned video wrap-up, Bedelia!?

Still here, still reading.  I read the site every single day.  I've been on the boards since 2005, wrote a thing for Nation's Punched.

But I guess I'm the classic lurker.  Actually, I seem to be a thread-killer.  Maybe it's my feminine sensibilities, my off-putting obsession with Ewan McGregor, my total disinterest in horror movies, but I've never been able to engage anyone much.  Maybe I just haven't tried hard enough, though the pressure to be as funny as some of the guys on here is high.  That said, in its best moments, it's still the best community of movie-lovers on the internet.

The site's content remains strong and fresh, and the writers continue to do quality work.  Nevertheless, I feel a little squeezed out of the CHUD demographic lately in terms of genre coverage.  I don't care a shred about horror movies, B movies, and most action movies, but that alone is a testament to CHUD's appeal that, even in spite of my film preferences, I still keep reading.

CDI, I think I understand where you're coming from. There are some tremendously funny and well-informed folks here, and it's natural to want to bring your A game to impress and fit in. Most of the time, I'm aware of how unfunny I am 98% of the time and how little I know about film compared to so many posters here. Thankfully, I haven't been run out or banned (yet!), and try to post whenever I have something to say that adds...well, something to the conversation.

Speaking of bringing the funny, Jake seems to be MIA lately - but I saw he's now a moderator. Am I just not seeing his posts?

Been following the site for years and it's where I go for my movie news constantly. Whenever I get bored at work, it's where I come to read threads. I really want to dive into the B-action movie thread, but it's looking a mite intimidating. I've learned so much about movies and music through this site, it's not even funny. And I'll keep coming back as long as I can.

Does anybody have any advice for linking up an electric fence? My goats are going stir crazy because I haven't finished it and they can't be loosed upon the pasture until it's done. I'll be honest, I'm a little worried about shocking the crap out of myself.

Have a good Friday everyone.

Good morning chewers!  I have to work this weekend, and back in my hometown the Derby is happening!  Anybody got a favorite horse this year?

2 days left at my current gig and all I want to do is goof off. Anyone in the Orlando area tomorrow, stop by Pop City Comics in College Park and say HI... Free Comic Book Day! I'll wear my CHUD cap for easy profiling!

Does anyone know what the deal is with last Friday's video wrap-up? It's the only one I couldn't find.
