We didn't do one. Renn missed much of last week dealing with some real life stuff. Don't worry he didn't slip and fall down and catch AIDS.

Hello people. I'm  here, in case anyone still cares. I mostly hang out in the TV forums though.

I'm probably the only Chewer who will be going to see Something Borrowed today. I feel like being an emotional girl.

Ah! Thanks, Nick. I was really busy last weekend so I just assumed one had gone up, especially after JG's comment earlier.

There have been rumblings. If my publisher fits the bill again, I shan't refuse. Was in Seattle and San Fran over the past month or so. Nice towns.

The site's content remains strong and fresh, and the writers continue to do quality work.  Nevertheless, I feel a little squeezed out of the CHUD demographic lately in terms of genre coverage.  I don't care a shred about horror movies, B movies, and most action movies, but that alone is a testament to CHUD's appeal that, even in spite of my film preferences, I still keep reading.

Yeah, I was never crazy about horror movies either but I always liked fans of horror movies, so even though I don't really fit in I still love hanging out.

And it's way more fun if you don't sweat the funnyness thing too. I felt similar to you early on but at some point I just figured I'd leave it to others to kick out the lols and quit trying to impress or compete and just focus on yapping about movies and stuff with the best community of movie-lovers on the internet. The more regularly you visit the more peeps will pick up on you and post back and clasp you to their bosoms.

I missed the conversation on the last page, but Kat Dennings and her money makers all the way. I just want to watch her run. In a .gif that is looped.

The positivity in this thread is wonderful!

I'm around. Love the community, even though I'm not on the boards much. I'll try to be around more often though! In the Chat as I type. That place was hella (not to be confused with Hella) populated when it made it's triumphant return. What happened? Who's around?

What up. Marvel has put out a dopey flash game in celebration of Thor. It's a pretty average platformer, and the throw attack is useless as far as I can tell, but there are worse ways to kill 10 minutes.

Like that rash you hate so much

Scratching will not help

Totally Kat Dennings, Seyfried has that dead behind the eyes thing going on.

I am doing my bit of posting as well.

CHUD and the B-Action Thread has been a lifechanger for me. A Community of close friends and its opened me to loads of great films most people have never heard before.

Reporting for roll call, sir. Still reading daily.  Life is still hectic as all get out, but I'll try to stop in more often.

I finally discovered the exquisite sounds of Joni Mitchell, Avalon, just thought you should know.

Hey sup

Eight, nine years? I guess that makes me an old-timer, though I still feel like I'm just getting to know folks.

CHUD is part of my daily regimen alongside email and FB. I don't spend as much time on the main site as I ought, but this is my primary source for movie news.

Hello.  Ya'll got anything to eat up in here?  We hongreh.

Cereal, bank deposits, car washin', taking the kid to the batting cages, rearranging the posters on her bedroom wall and a barbecue at a friend's house later.  Kickass, Saturday.  Hope you dudes have a good day as well.

You didn't happen to record any impromptu videos/mini-podcasts or anything?

Tell Mr Murphy to get his arse to a theatre. It's ridiculous that the last movie he saw was PREDATORS.

As for me, watched Charlie Rose interview the Netflix CEO, took the imp to the park, and now I think the missus has organised a suprise date for us. Her sister has just turned up and something is going down.

It is so goddamn distracting to see and hear my real name (Thor) everywhere this week. At least I'm used to folks mispronouncing it.

Still here.

I was never much of a poster, but about a year ago I was hit with a double-whammy - real-life work promotion (and the ton of extra work that came with it) and the CHUD ad virus (which knocked out my laptop as I was preparing for a critical quality audit) - that dramatically reduced the time I spent here. I still don't have the time to read the site and boards like I used to, but I pop in once or twice a week to follow certain discussions and gossip.

This has always been one of my favorite sites so I'm definitely not going anywhere unless you put up the chairs and shut the lights, and I'll see if I can be a bit more active in the future.

Hey guys! Kind of hungover!

*waves*

Charlize Theron has the best Between Two Ferns episode.

The pool moment in Greenberg actually undoes Night at the Museum 1 and 2.

I wanna meet Ernie Hudson. I'm sure he's great to hang out with.

Went to the comic book store for free comic book day and discovered that there was a comic book adaptation of MOTEL HELL. Yeah, I snatched that up, along with the comic adaptation of Wrath Of Khan and the action figure of Captain Terrell because everyone should own an action figure of Paul Winfield.

Then I got a hot and ready pizza from Little Caesar's came back home, and saw my recent e-Bay purchase of the VHS or The Borrower. Yes, life is good, and so is CHUD.

How does Free Comic Book Day work, anyway?  I wanted to take the kid but by the time I remembered it was today we were far too far away from the comic book store.

We had a helluva day though - highlight being the batting cages.  She's turning into an actual hitter.  I got in there for a few swings but using her kid-sized bat and swinging at pitches that were aimed at her strike zone and now I got my back giving me all the fingers.

The comic companies make certain comics for free comic book day, and most of the stores use this as an excuse to do a discount on their back issues and action figures, and other stuff they have in their stores. The comics that the companies make specifically for free comic book day, are of course free, but sometimes they throw in extra comics that aren't marked specifically, but the stores still give them away for free. I saw a bunch of Secret Invasion comics there next to the "official" free comic book day comics.

Rene, Let us know how the Motel Hell comic is.

I definitely will. I haven't had the chance yet to read it, and there were only 3 issues, and I hope it was only a 3 issue miniseries, and I'm not missing a 4th issue. That would suck. I'm going to try to read at least the first issue later tonight. I had no idea a comic adaptation even existed. That really made my day.

Mornin' all! The missus had organised a suprise date for us. Went to a joint called Quantas, in our local area, Chiswick, West Londinium.

Chorizo and pork belly thing followed by rib-eye and hand cut chips, topped off by apple crumble and ice-cream. Not bad! Our third date in about 7 months. (We have a 2 year-old).

I stumbled upon this site by mere chance. That said, I quite like it and hope to be active.

How is everyone this evening?

Still no sign of Trevor ....

I AM DISAPPOINT.

Was up at 4 in the goddamn morning on a sunday, took the family to the airport at 5. GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!!!!

EDIT: Picked up FREE copy of Super Dinosaur at the comic shop yesterday, while I was drawing for the kids. A T-Rex using joysticks to control his giant mech arms sounds like a fun read to me.

Morning.  I was across the street from my local comic store yesterday and didn't even realize it was FCBD until that evening when everything was closed.  fml

Hello all. Give your Mom the ol' once around would'ya?

Got Mom a Kindle for Mother's Day. Been through a lot lately- she deserves it.

Yesterday was decent, but then ended at a giant electronica/dubstep show where I enjoyed myself right up front for many hours. When I was tired and done with the whole scene, I crowd surfed to the back of the mass and left (to Daft Punk's Around the World). It was kinda goddamn rockstar.

Today I'll be making a cameo on the Imperial Trouble Podcast, which should plop sometime soon. Should be funtimes.

I bought my wife a Kindle in March, and I've just started using it after getting hooked on Game of Thrones and wanting to read the books. Gonna grab one myself sometime I think.

Afternoon! Last night was fun. Went to the festival at the church with Vanessa, and we cleaned up at Bingo. Won a bunch of prizes. I'm not kidding. 2 toasters, 2 lamps, a big bag of charcoal a pack that had 2 pretty big flashlights. A couple of other things too. It was pretty sweet. Then we hit up Taco Bell and came back to watch Extract again because that movie is really friggin' hilarious.

Got my Mother and Grandmother some nice cards, as well as a $25 gift card to The Olive Garden for my Mother, and a $25 gift card to Wal-mart for my Grandmother.

Read that Motel Hell 3 issue comic yesterday. It's not an adaptation of the movie at all, but instead has Farmer Vincent and his sister in the present day, and they've turned the motel into some kind of retreat, and he's selling wine that goes for $5,000 a bottle. Turns out the "grapes" are the eyes of people. They also have a giant Razorback-esque pig, and there's a funny callback to the "I used preservatives!" line. It's worth picking up, and it's only a 3 issue miniseries. It was quite the find yesterday at the comicbook store. I can't believe I knew nothing about it, and it came out last fall.

Mothers Day was all good.  Took the kids out early doors to let the wife have a sleep in, came back and the kids bundled on the bed giveing her the cards they'd made, flowers we'd brought and the questionably patterned PJ's the kids had chosen for her.

Made bacon and banana pancakes with Maple syrup and then spent the arvo playing in the garden with the kids.

Finished Lazors on the iPhone and then spent the evening reading Game of Thrones while the wife studied.
