I don't know if choosing Olivier MEGATON is a good idea. He managed to make an incredibly boring TRANSPORTER movie. The first two weren't great movies, but they were never boring.

Nice old school Besson/Jovovich reference there, change of pace from the usual "schtupping the Resident Evil guy" gags.

 

As for the director, I don't really give a shit as long as he's competent. What matters is that this movie has Liam Neeson calmly threatening people over the phone, finding them, and pulverizing them.

I'm not a big fan of TAKEN, but judging from TRANSPORTER 3, Olivier Megaton is several miles short of competent. It's easily one of the worst films I've ever seen in theaters. The memory of it is like an infuriatingly numb spot in my brain.
