Aronofsky has so many brownie points in the bank as far as I'm concerned that I barely need to read the premise of his next movie. If he's signed to direct then he's seen something in the script he can make his own - and I'll go wherever he wants to take me.

I'm okay with this.  I was okay with Soderbergh's Solaris too, even though it was somewhat incomplete.

It sounds like the premise to a wacky animated family film - the kind of flick where "I feel good" would play over the trailer as we meet Clooney's character living a charmed life, interrupted by the sound of a record scratching as he's frozen and awakens to discover that...gasp...he's now a pet!

Cue Porno for Pyros' "Pets" and goofy montage of clips from the rest of the movie and the titlecard: "Dreamworks Presents: PETS!"

Genuinely curious as to whether the script's better/weirder than I imagine, or whether Aronofsky's looking to direct something quasi-"mainstream" in lieu of Wolverine.
