Mods, I apologize if this is a no-no. I figured I'd give it a shot...
As you may or may not know, I make videos and shorts along with my friends on a pretty regular basis. In the past, they were always for fun and to mess around. Some were good, some weren't. It happens.
Currently, my friends and I are in the pre-production stages of our first feature film. Over the past year or so, we've been stepping up our game and taking ourselves more seriously. We've churned out several longer, more ambitious shorts (ranging from 7 - 35minutes) and it's time to make the leap to features.
This is what I want to do for a living. I have a day job to support myself but it's not what I want to do with my life. I want to direct movies. I want to write movies. And this is a huge step in that direction for me. If it goes well and turns out how I'd like it to, it could possibly change my entire life.
That's my plea for mercy and compassion and help. It's lame, but hey. It's all I want in life.
So. Where do you come in? Well since we're doing this project legit, we need to hire actors and get more equipment and permits than we already have. And thanks to the most wonderful website ever called Kickstarter, we can potentially make our movie legit and the way we want to make it. It's a site that lets people donate and fund projects such as this.
And we need some help. Now I know some of you may not know me on here, may not like me, never saw our work, don't have money, etc. But I figured I'd post this here to see if anyone can help in any way. Literally every single dollar helps. We're looking to raise a total of $5,000 and if the donations don't reach that amount, we don't get ANY of the money. So. If you can, our/my eternal gratitude (along with the listed rewards) will forever be yours.
