Wonderful news. Some people complain that it's slow, but for me, it's an hour-long immersion into a culture I didn't properly appreciate before, and I savor every second of it. Oh, and give Wendell Pierce an Emmy now, please.

With the first season, it seemed like Treme was too busy fulfilling it's design & saying what it wanted to say to be truly immersive &, I'll say it, entertaining. It was like Star Trek: The Motion Picture in that sense. This season, we're past the world-building & character introductions &, especially with that INCREDIBLE last episode, Treme is full-on in Wrath Of Khan mode. Damn fine call, HBO.
