THUD: WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT?

"Manic Pixie Dream Girl: The Series"   Ugh.

Remember when Zooey had a promising career ahead of her?  She must have gotten tired of watching her sister making serious bank year after year on FOX, so she decided to cash in herself.

I'm with Joshua: I watched this earlier today, and just found it completely fascinating in its structural incomprehensibility (plus, while I realize that there is plain, and then there's Hollywood plain, the Deschanel sisters aren't even in the same area code with either).

Hopefully this will die quickly enough to get the next She & Him album moving along.

I'm sorry to see her career end so early, but Deschanel had a pretty good run, I guess. Only thing that really offends me about this shitty-looking show is the continued perpetuation of every woman of my generation acting this way in order to attract men.

Makes for a fun "honeymoon" phase -- but after the first few months, the cute pixie girl always goes away.

So it's a reverse Big Bang Theory? Instead of three socially awkward guys and one hot chick, it's one socially awkward chick and three... people?

This looks like shit. Just sadness all around.

It also has the dubious distinction of introducing me to the preview of I Hate My Teenage Daughter, by way of youtube sidebar. Seriously, I fucking dare you to go look that up. I've been through all the filth the internet has provided and I still couldn't stop cringing watching this. It was Mr. Hands bad.  

After watching previews for all the new broadcast programming, that was, I would say, one of the less painful ones. Also, that's Jake Johnson, right? Is that his name? That dude is UNBEARABLE.

Good god I can't believe the shit that is regularly on tv these days. As for Zooey seems like a perfect fit because she hasn't really had much in the way of film roles.

Weird though because speaking as a guy who isn't into chick flicks much I would much rather watch her than say Kate Hudson or Katherine Heigl.

At least she's not playing 'dreamy and unknowable' this time. But the Tina Fey glasses are a lazy way to go.

Feels like a network exec saw this scene from Garden State and went "I want 22 episodes of that!"

Ouch. I wanted Chad "Cutty" Coleman to work more, but preferably in something I'd actually watch.
